It's been in the papers, it's been in the news. Hollywood celebrities have put Bollywood on their radar and are not shying away from accepting it. Since the hit of slum-dog millionaire, Anil Kapoor and A.R.Rahman have mapped the way for Hollywood stars toward the colorful Bollywood life.

In the recent past an handful of celebrities have visited India for business, wedding, promotion, you name it!. And these stars have been one of the most well known around the world, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Richard Gere etc., are just a few who've experienced the vibrant nation in the past five years.

Hollywood Celebrities Who Visited India In 2011:

The latest visit by Tom Cruise to promote his new movie, starring our very own Anil Kapoor The Mission Impossible 3 Ghost Protocol, has made so much headlines that it's almost bizarre. Paris Hilton visited to launch and market her new hand bag and accessory line, and did interviews on MTV, in order to reach for the trendy youngsters of India. She also donned saris and made comments on how beautiful our culture is.

Oprah Winfrey‘s visit was no less a hype for her new show Oprah's next chapter. She did a two part interview of women across varied strata of the Indian society, and explored the customs and traditions that make Indian women who they are today. Not to mention, her visit to the Bachchan household where she met their newest arrival Aaradhya Bachchan, and headed off with the family to a party hosted by the Parmeshwar & Adi Godrej.

From the music scene, Akon, Metallica, Shakira, Pitt Bull and Lady Gaga were some who spread their tunes across the country.

Katie Perry and her now ex-husband Russel Brand chose the country to marry and returned to rekindle their marriage.

Even though this type of Hollywood celebrity attention is doing great marketing for India, it has its side effects. With the Indian showbiz taking a lot of inspiration from the western movies, the cultural values of India are getting distorted at many levels. Plus the added celebrity outlook toward the nation has an impact on the vast fan following they have back home. When they depict India from their narrow experience of the country, they are not only creating false ideologies about its citizens but also confusing the Indian viewers too. Oprahs' interview shed some light on a very subjective area of the Indian society, not many of the women relate to what was depicted in the show. These type of controversies are enablers to rather negative spotlight on the countries otherwise rich values and morals.

There is no disagreement to the fact that, all the Hollywood exposure is also opening up a lot more opportunities and creating awareness of our roots. However, it's time we stop imitating the cultures of the west and embrace our own values, to be the unique country that we are.

Without a doubt the Kardashians are the 'it' reality TV family to keep up with! The reality show has been such a hit, that it's opened up opportunities beyond imagination for the family. Momma Jenner has a lot to do with being the business savvy mom especially for Kourtney, Khloe and Kimberley Kardashian.

The Kardashian business ventures started off humble with two stores. Smooch a childrens clothing boutique and high fashion retail store Dash. Both of which were in Calabasas, California. But it's their new high fashion clothing line for Sears that has caught all the buzz.

Kardashian Kollection is a fashion line with an array of products ranging from clothes to accessories. The sisters all have their own personal style incorporated in the brand and are part of the design team. Because of their already popular status in Hollywood, it's been fairly easy for them to gain fans. They've always been known for dressing perfect no matter the occasion, and having a niche for understanding various body types and their styling issues. This gives them an edge as celebrity designers, they're in tune with their viewers and fans. They are known for using twitter and facebook to get their fans opinions before making design decisions. Enabling them to get direct information from the customers while keeping them happy.

Kardashian Kollection Commercial:

The Kardashian Kollection is now going to be available at Dorothy Perkins stores in the UK. Kim announced this news on the web site saying "Hi dolls!! My sisters and I are so thrilled to announce that we are launching our Kardashian Kollection at Dorothy Perkins stores in the UK!! This is such an exciting time and we can't wait to head over to the UK later this year to launch the Kollection and visit all of our amazing fans. We're so happy to finally be able to share the Kollection with our fans in other countries. Stay tuned for lots more info coming soon!! Xo"

While fashion lovers in the UK can't wait until November for the launch, news has followed that the trio will also be retailing in their line in many other countries around the world. Fans will be able to find the Kardashian Kollection in Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Philippines amongst many other cities. According to Womens Wear Daily in 2013, the clothing will also make its way to Brazil, Russia and China.

Many subject the girls (Kourtney, Kim, Khloe) to being famous for being famous, and lacking talent. But they've proved all haters wrong with their hard work and efforts in maintaining the many businesses they own. From their high fashion retail store DASH to rapidly expanding Kardashian Kollection for Sears, they've showed through actions that money and fame doesn't come for free. They are true entrepreneurs.

Avril Lavigne set to marry again!

The preparation, the stress, anxiety and happiness all make up the contents of wedding planning. But singer song writer Avril Lavigne has done it before. As have many celebrities, there's no counting on the number of marriages and engagements. The stars are willing to do it multiple times if they're in love!.

Lavignes been in the music business from the age of 16. She started off projecting the tom boy skater vibe with her hits 'sk8er boi', 'I'm with you' and 'complicated'. Soon she was the favorite amongst the adolescent and teenaged music lovers. Fans love Avril for her originality and rebellious nature, a feature unique to only her, even though her record label had persuaded her to put on a girlie avatar to enable sales. She's has four very successful albums and rocked the charts worldwide.

In 2005 Lavigne she got engaged to lead singer and guitarist of Sum 41; Deryck Whibley. They got married on 15 July 2006, and the fans viewed this as a wedding that would actually last, assuming that Lavigne was a wise young woman with a simple background, living in a town in Canada with only a 5000 population. During the many interviews after her wedding she mentioned how much she loves and misses Whibley when on tour and also stated “the best thing that’s ever happened to him”. Whibley loved her so much that he quit drugs to be with her, because she made it very clear in the beginning of their relationships that she's against drug. After almost four years, the couple called quits on their marriage and October 2010 Lavigne filed for divorce stating that “I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship.”

Since her Divorce she had been dating reality tv star Brody Jenner , but the relationship hit the rocks in January after two years of being together. Avril made the smart decision to keep her relationship private when she started dating Chad Kroeger, lead singer and guitarist of Nickelback. They two have a ten year age gap between them, but that hasn't been an issue for either. It was their collaboration for Lavignes upcoming fifth album that lead to the love to blossom.

In August 2012, Lavigne announced her engagement to Kroeger. The canadian couple are on the front cover of the upcoming September issue of Hello Magasine Canada. Lavigne shows off her 14-Carat Diamond Engagement ring, and the couple look cozy, with Chad hugging his fiancé.Kroeger tells the magazine that he feels “like the luckiest person alive“. While his fiancé has been quoted saying “(Kroeger) makes me laugh every day. He takes care of me in every way and is extremely attentive.” Well we fans wish Avril and Chad a great married life, hopefully one that lasts, at-least more than 72 days!
