Hercules DJ Console launches Mk4, most portable 2-deck DJ controller with integrated audio for PC and Mac. It has two jog wheels, a cross fader, fader volume Twp, two buttons encoder pitch, six EQ knobs and 36 buttons for precise mixture.

NVIDIA has officially announced its new GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 graphics processor which is the first series of Fermi Company. The first has a clock speed of 700MHz graphics and 1848, the clock speed memory while it has 448MHz graphics clock of the memory clock and 1674.

These GPUs are NVIDIA Fermi Vision 3D surround functionality and ready 3-way SLI Technology, PhysX technology, Interactive Ray Tracing, CUDA Technology, 32x Anti-aliasing and PureVideo HD technology. The GTX 480 and GTX 470 both use the PCI Express 2.0 support and Dual Link DVI with up to 2560 × 1600 resolution and HDMI 1.4 with xvYCC, deep color and 7.1 digital surround sound. They will be available in mid-April.

When it comes to broadband speed in India, many companies are in the verge of coming up with plans with higher bandwidth to woo its customers.Telecom major Bharti Airtel said it will offer broadband speed of 50 mbps, which will enable its customers to download full length movies in a few minutes, for Rs 8,999 per month.Now isn’t this awesome ? Don’t get too excited coz these plans come with a 200Gb FUP limit.That would done in few hours or few days.Firstly i was like Waoo !! all my movies and stuff would be done in a flash, but later when i looked into the FUP limit i was like damn !! What does Airtel think when they dish out such plans.

Initially, the service would be available in select few locations in Delhi and Gurgaon. It will later be rolled out in Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore in phases.

Atleast if they would have given a 300GB FUP with price reduced to around 3.5-4k would be a steal.But users who buy this will have one more thing to worry as they would need to buy internal/external hard disks to store the downloaded data. Hope Airtel reduces the exorbitant prices and gives a decent enough plan.

XFX confirms no GTX 480 and GTX 470

XFX, a division of PINE Technologies, confirmed that they will not be releasing any GeForce GTX 400 series graphics cards(like GTX 470 and GTX 480) to the market when the cards become public next month.XFX was not listed as a launch partner for Fermi and did not issue a press release about the upcoming cards, which might come as a shock to many of our readers as they are one of the largest NVIDIA add-in board (AIB) partners in the world!.

They will continue supporting and selling older Nvidia cards and will be open to selling low end and mainstream versions of Fermi.This is not limited to the North American market either and will affect every market worldwide since the decision was taken on a corporate level. The exact reasoning behind this is not clear but in the shady world of GPUs.

This is definitely big blow to Nvidia as XFX was very big AIB partner for Nvidia globally unlike some others like BFG and EVGA which do not have penetration in European and asian markets.Nvidia is punishing this highly successful brand by cutting them off from Geforce GTX 480 and 470 launch cards, and this is a direct result of XFX’s last year’s decision to to start selling ATI.

XFX recently went with ATI cards so it looks like they will be more closely in relationship with ati for the time being.MSI,ASUS are also making ATI cards.Even though currently the Price-to-Performance ratio is higher for ATi cards, many would like price cuts so they can taste the goodness of mid-high (5850) to high-end (5870) cards, both of which are way above $250 mark. ATI has confirmed a new second generation of DirectX 11 cards Radeon HD 5970 X2 with super specs will put more than a dozen nails in the green coffin.

The news isn't good for those of you who wanted to buy a GTX 400-series card with XFX's signature Double Lifetime Warranty in US/ EU.Could it be a case of Nvidia not giving XFX any allocation of Fermi boards as they are no longer exclusively an Nvidia partner. The availability of the cards as we know is very low at the moment and maybe Nvidia decided to cut XFX out? After all XFX does not have to make any boards because currently all boards are reference design based and made by Nvidia.

The one thing which surprises me is the heat dissipation is so high in GTX 470 and GTX 480 and they are providing 2-3 yrs warranty on this. Doesn’t it seem risky on their part eh ? There is however a glimmer of hope as XFX has stated quite clearly that they intend to continue support NVIDIA's more budget-oriented cards.That means there is a good possibility that once cut down versions of the GF100 architecture are released, we will likely see cards brandishing the XFX logo.

XFX said that the decision not to carry this series of GF100 graphics card was their decision and that they will still be carrying NVIDIA products.The question that arises is, is Nvidia dumping XFX or vice versa as XFX was partnered with Nvidia all these years and recently started with ATi ones.Whatever it is, the loss would be for Nvidia itself.
